Mukkamala (actor)
Mukkamala Krishna Murthy (born c. 1920s, died 1987), known mononymously as Mukkamala, was a prominent Telugu film actor in India. He was known for portraying antagonist roles and character roles with a distinctive baritone voice and imposing screen presence.
Mukkamala began his acting career in theater before transitioning to cinema. He acted in over 150 films, primarily in Telugu, and occasionally in Tamil and Kannada. Some of his notable films include Mayabazar (1957), Nartanasala (1963), Lava Kusa (1963), and Sri Krishna Pandaviyam (1966). He often played roles such as kings, zamindars, and villains, establishing himself as a versatile character actor. His dialogue delivery and commanding performance style made him a memorable figure in Telugu cinema history.
