Jack Harte (writer)
Jack Harte is an Irish writer, playwright, and publisher, known for his short stories, novels, and plays, often exploring themes of Irish identity, history, and social issues.
Harte was born in County Sligo, Ireland. He is a founding member of the Irish Writers' Union and was its chairperson for several years. He is also a founder of the literary publishing house, Dedalus Press, which publishes poetry.
Harte's works include the short story collection Birds and Other Tails (1986) and the novels Reflections in a Glass Eye (1995), The Face of Silence (2001), In the Shadow of Swords (2004), and Unspoken (2019). His plays have been produced in Ireland and internationally.
