Sergio Gil (footballer, born 1996)

Sergio Gil Latorre (born 9 October 1996) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder.

Career

Gil began his career in the youth ranks of Real Zaragoza, progressing through their academy system. He made his senior debut for Real Zaragoza B in Tercera División. He was promoted to the first team in 2014.

During his time with Real Zaragoza, Gil made appearances in the Segunda División.

In 2016, Gil transferred to CD Lugo, also in the Segunda División.

Following his time at Lugo, Gil played for several other clubs in Spain, including Extremadura UD.

Gil is generally deployed as a central midfielder. He is known for his passing range, technical ability, and work rate.
