Hallunda

Hallunda is a suburban district (kommundel) located in the Botkyrka Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is part of the larger Tumba urban area. Hallunda is primarily known for its high concentration of apartment buildings constructed during the Million Programme era of the 1960s and 1970s. The area has a significant immigrant population, contributing to its multicultural character. Hallunda Centrum is a major commercial and service hub for the surrounding area, offering a variety of shops, restaurants, and public services. The Hallunda metro station, on the red line of the Stockholm Metro, provides convenient access to central Stockholm and other parts of the metropolitan area.
