Ellinair

Ellinair was a Greek airline headquartered in Thessaloniki, Greece, with its main base at Thessaloniki Airport (SKG). It operated scheduled and charter flights to destinations within Greece and Europe, primarily serving routes to and from Northern Greece.

Ellinair was founded in 2013 by the Mouzenidis Group, a tourism company specializing in travel to Greece. The airline's initial focus was on serving the needs of tourists traveling to Greece from Eastern Europe and Russia. Over time, it expanded its network to include more destinations and serve a wider range of passengers.

The airline's fleet consisted of various aircraft types, including Airbus A319s and Boeing 737s.

Ellinair ceased operations in 2021 due to financial difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the tourism industry. The company filed for bankruptcy. Its routes and assets were not taken over by another airline.
