EKG (album)

EKG is the debut studio album by American hardcore punk band Embrace. It was released in 1987 on Dischord Records. The album is named after the band's initials, as an EKG (electrocardiogram) measures the electrical activity of the heart. The album is notable for its emotional and personal lyrics, delivered with a raw and passionate energy characteristic of the late 1980s hardcore scene. The music features a blend of fast-paced, aggressive punk rock and slower, more melodic passages.
