Éramos Seis (2019 TV series)

Éramos Seis is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast by Rede Globo. It premiered on September 30, 2019, and concluded on March 27, 2020, replacing Órfãos da Terra. It is a remake of the homonymous telenovela originally aired on Rede Tupi in 1958, based on the novel of the same name by Maria José Dupré.

The telenovela tells the story of Dona Lola, a strong and dedicated mother who struggles to raise her four children amidst financial difficulties and societal pressures in São Paulo during the 1920s and 1930s. The narrative follows the lives of the Lemos family – Dona Lola, her husband Júlio, and their children Carlos, Alfredo, Julinho, and Isabel – navigating love, loss, and the changing times of Brazil. The plot also explores various social issues prevalent in the period, such as class disparities, women's roles, and political tensions leading up to World War II. Glória Pires starred as Dona Lola.
