Dick Wesson (announcer)
Dick Wesson (1922-1996) was an American actor, comedian, and announcer, primarily known for his work in radio and television during the mid-20th century. He was a familiar voice on numerous network radio shows and later transitioned to television as an announcer, actor, and writer.
Wesson gained prominence as the announcer and a frequent comedic foil on The Ernie Kovacs Show, both on radio and television. His straight-man delivery and ability to play off Kovacs's unconventional humor made him a key part of the show's success. He was also involved in the show's writing process.
Beyond his work with Ernie Kovacs, Wesson's announcing credits included various other radio programs and television game shows. He also appeared in films and television series, often in comedic roles.
