X (Chris Brown album)

X is the sixth studio album by American singer Chris Brown. It was released on September 16, 2014, by RCA Records. The album's title refers to Brown's age at the time of its release (25), and also represents the Roman numeral for 10, signifying the 10-year anniversary of his debut studio album.

The album features guest appearances from various artists, including Usher, Rick Ross, Akon, Tyga, Brandy, and Jhené Aiko. Musically, X incorporates elements of R&B, pop, hip hop, and electronic dance music.

Prior to its release, several singles were issued to promote X, including "Fine China," "Don't Think They Know" featuring Aaliyah, "Love More" featuring Nicki Minaj, "Loyal" featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga, and "New Flame" featuring Usher and Rick Ross.

X debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, selling 146,000 copies in its first week. It was later certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album received generally positive reviews from critics, with many praising its production and Brown's vocal performance. However, some critics noted the album's length and lack of cohesion. Despite these criticisms, X was commercially successful and produced several hit singles.
