Goathland
Goathland is a village and civil parish in the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire, England. It is located within the North York Moors National Park, approximately nine miles south of Whitby and 26 miles north of York.

History: The name "Goathland" is believed to derive from "Godaland," meaning "good land" or "God's land."
