Culloden and Ardersier (ward)
Culloden and Ardersier is a multi-member ward within the Highland Council area of Scotland. It elects three councillors to the Highland Council. As a ward, it encompasses the villages and areas of Culloden, Ardersier, Balloch, and Croy. The ward boundaries are subject to periodic review and adjustment by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland. Elections are held every five years, concurrent with other Highland Council ward elections, using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system. The elected councillors represent the interests of the residents within the ward, participating in council decisions on a range of local government matters including education, social work, roads, planning, and economic development. Voter turnout and political affiliations can vary from election to election, reflecting local and national issues. The specific geographical extent of the ward is defined by boundary maps maintained by the Highland Council.
