David Wark (Australian politician)
David Wark (1804 – 20 May 1886) was an Australian politician, member of the New South Wales Legislative Council from 1851 to 1853 and the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Bathurst from 1859 to 1860.
Wark was born in Scotland. Before entering politics, he worked as a merchant in Sydney. He first entered the New South Wales Legislative Council in 1851, nominated by the Governor. He served until responsible government was implemented in 1856.
In 1859, he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the seat of Bathurst. He served a single term, retiring in 1860. Outside of Parliament, he was involved in local government and community affairs in the Bathurst region. He died in Bathurst in 1886.
