Darchal

Darchal is a village development committee (VDC) located in the Bajhang District of Seti Zone in far-western Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 2,804 residing in 537 individual households. The primary occupation of the residents is agriculture, with crops such as rice, wheat, and maize being commonly cultivated. Infrastructure within Darchal is generally limited, with access to electricity and potable water varying across different areas. The terrain is mountainous, which contributes to the relative isolation of the VDC and impacts transportation and access to markets and services. Socially, Darchal follows traditional Nepali customs and practices.
