Cru (album)

Cru is the debut studio album by American hip hop group Cru. It was released on April 1, 1997, on Def Jam Recordings. The album features production from a variety of producers, including DJ Premier, Pete Rock, and Ski. While highly anticipated and featuring respected producers, Cru was a commercial disappointment upon its release. It spawned the singles "Just Another Case" and "Bubblin'", but failed to chart significantly. The album is now considered a cult classic by many fans of underground hip hop for its raw lyrics, boom-bap production, and the group's unique chemistry. The members of Cru consisted of Yogi, Mighty Ha, and The Nubian.
