Dai Williams (rugby union)
Dai Williams is a Welsh former rugby union player. He primarily played as a prop. Williams is best known for his career with Pontypool RFC during their dominant period in the 1980s, a team widely regarded as one of the toughest and most uncompromising in Welsh rugby history. He was a key member of the renowned "Pontypool Front Row," alongside Charlie Faulkner and Bobby Windsor, a formidable trio that provided the platform for Pontypool's success. While he didn't win many international caps for Wales, his contribution to Pontypool and his uncompromising style of play earned him considerable respect within Welsh rugby. He represented Wales on a handful of occasions. After his playing career ended, Williams remained involved in rugby, often seen at Pontypool games and involved in coaching at various levels.
