Z (1999 film)
Z is a 1999 computer-animated short film created by Pixar Animation Studios. It was written and directed by Ralf Eggleston, in his directorial debut. The short premiered on November 19, 1999, with Toy Story 2.
Z tells the story of a robot named Z, who unexpectedly awakens and finds himself on a conveyor belt leading to a dangerous machine. He must figure out how to stop the machine before it's too late. The film's visual style is notably distinct from other Pixar shorts of the time, employing a gritty, industrial aesthetic.
