Lord (band)

Lord is an Australian heavy metal band formed in Sydney, New South Wales in 2003. The band is spearheaded by Lord Tim (Tim Grose), primarily known for his songwriting and vocal abilities, alongside guitarist Andy Dowling. Lord blends elements of power metal, thrash metal, and traditional heavy metal, creating a style sometimes referred to as "Epic Power Metal".

Originally conceived as a solo project by Lord Tim under the name Dungeon Lord, the name was shortened to Lord following legal issues with another band named Dungeon. This change also signified a shift from a solely studio-based project to a fully-fledged band.

Lord's discography includes multiple full-length albums, EPs, and singles, released through various record labels and independently. Their lyrics often explore themes of fantasy, history, and personal experiences.

Over the years, the band has toured extensively both within Australia and internationally, supporting notable acts within the metal genre. They have also performed at various metal festivals.
