Ministry of Public Works (Albania)

The Ministry of Public Works (Albanian: Ministria e Infrastrukturës dhe Energjisë) is a government ministry of Albania responsible for national infrastructure, energy, transport, housing, urban development, water management, and environmental protection. Its primary functions include the planning, development, and maintenance of the country's road network, railways, ports, and airports. The Ministry also oversees the energy sector, focusing on energy production, transmission, and distribution, as well as promoting renewable energy sources. Furthermore, it plays a role in urban planning, housing policies, and regulating the construction industry. Environmental protection and sustainable development are also within the Ministry's purview, with responsibilities for managing water resources, waste management, and air quality. The Ministry is headed by a Minister, who is appointed by the Prime Minister of Albania.
