Jo Durie

Jo Durie (born 27 July 1959) is a British former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high ranking of world No. 5 in singles and world No. 5 in doubles.

Durie was a prominent figure in British tennis during the 1980s. She won two WTA Tour singles titles and twelve WTA Tour doubles titles. Her best Grand Slam singles results were reaching the semi-finals of the 1983 French Open and the 1984 US Open. In doubles, she partnered with several notable players, including Anne Hobbs, and won the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon in 1987 partnering Jeremy Bates and the Australian Open in 1991, also partnering Bates.

After retiring from professional tennis, Durie has worked as a tennis commentator and coach. She remains involved in the sport and is often seen at tennis events.
