Tom Payne (actor)

Tom Payne (born 21 December 1982) is a British actor. He is best known for his role as Paul "Jesus" Rovia in the AMC television series The Walking Dead (2016–2019).

Payne trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. His earlier notable roles include Brett Aspinall in the BBC drama Waterloo Road (2009–2010) and George Best in the BBC drama Best: His Mother's Son (2009). He also appeared in the films Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (2008) and The Physician (2013).

Following his departure from The Walking Dead, Payne took on the lead role of Malcolm Bright in the Fox crime drama Prodigal Son (2019–2021).
