The Libeccio (F 572) is a Maestrale-class frigate of the Italian Navy (Marina Militare). She is the fifth ship of the class. Libeccio is named after the southwestern wind, libeccio.

Libeccio was laid down in February 1980, launched in September 1981, and commissioned in April 1983. The ship's primary role is anti-submarine warfare (ASW), but she is also equipped for anti-air warfare (AAW) and anti-surface warfare (ASuW). She is equipped with a flight deck and hangar for a helicopter, typically an Agusta-Bell AB 212 or a larger SH-90.

The Maestrale-class frigates, including Libeccio, have undergone modernization programs throughout their service lives to update their combat systems and extend their operational capabilities. These upgrades have included improvements to sensors, communications, and weapon systems.

Libeccio has participated in numerous national and international exercises and operations, including patrols in the Mediterranean Sea and deployments as part of multinational naval task forces. She represents a significant component of the Italian Navy's surface combatant fleet. The ship's homeport is La Spezia.
