Eduardo Gómez (actor)
Eduardo Gómez Manzano (27 June 1951 – 28 July 2019) was a Spanish actor known primarily for his comedic roles in television series. He achieved widespread recognition for his portrayal of Máximo Angulo in the popular sitcom Aquí no hay quien viva (2003-2006) and later for his role as Mariano Delgado in La que se avecina (2007-2019).
Gómez began his acting career in the theatre and later transitioned to television and film. Beyond his iconic sitcom roles, he appeared in a variety of Spanish films, including 800 Bullets (2002), directed by Álex de la Iglesia, and Mortadelo and Filemon: The Mission (2014). He also participated in other television series such as ¡Ala… Dina! and Gym Tony.
Gómez was appreciated for his distinctive comedic timing and delivery, which contributed to the success and longevity of his performances. His characters were often characterized by their working-class backgrounds, blunt humor, and endearing flaws. He passed away in Madrid in 2019.
