David Burke (Australian footballer, born 1959)

David Burke (born 24 May 1959) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Footscray in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Recruited from St Patrick's College, Ballarat, Burke was a defender. He debuted for Footscray in 1977 and played 81 senior VFL games for the club over seven seasons. He did not play in 1984, then returned for one final season in 1985, playing just three games.
