Peter Rowe (judge)
Peter Rowe is a judge of the Federal Court of Australia, appointed on 18 April 2018. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Justice Rowe was a barrister specializing in commercial law, corporations law, and insolvency. He was admitted as a barrister in Queensland in 1986 and took silk in 2004.
Justice Rowe holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Queensland and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Cambridge. He has also lectured in commercial law at the Queensland University of Technology.
His appointment to the Federal Court followed a distinguished career at the bar, during which he appeared in a number of significant commercial disputes. As a judge, Justice Rowe handles a wide range of cases including matters relating to corporations law, intellectual property, administrative law, and taxation.
