MJ (South Korean singer)

MJ (Kim Myung-jun), born March 5, 1994, is a South Korean singer, actor, and musical theatre performer. He is best known as a member of the boy group Astro, formed by Fantagio in 2016.

Early Life and Education:

Kim Myung-jun was born in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. He attended Global Cyber University, majoring in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

Career:

• Pre-Debut: Prior to his debut with Astro, MJ participated in the Fantagio i-Teen project, showcasing his singing and performance skills.

• Astro: MJ debuted as the main vocalist of Astro on February 23, 2016, with the release of their debut EP Spring Up. As part of Astro, he has participated in numerous albums, concerts, and variety show appearances.

• Solo Activities: MJ has engaged in solo activities, including:

  • OSTs: He has contributed to several original soundtracks for Korean dramas.
  • Musical Theatre: He made his musical theatre debut in 2019 with Everybody's Ddarling and has since participated in other productions, showcasing his vocal and acting abilities.
  • Solo Debut: MJ made his solo debut with the trot single "Get Set Yo" in November 2021.
