Chi Peng

Chi Peng (池骋, born 1981) is a contemporary Chinese photographer and artist. He is known for his surreal and often provocative photography, frequently featuring male nudes in elaborate, staged settings that explore themes of sexuality, identity, social commentary, and the human condition. His work often utilizes strong composition, vibrant colors, and symbolic imagery to create visually striking and thought-provoking narratives.

Peng's work has been exhibited internationally in galleries and museums, contributing to the discussion of contemporary art and LGBTQ+ representation in China and beyond. He has received critical acclaim and generated controversy due to the explicit nature of some of his imagery. His photographs are collected by both public and private institutions. He lives and works in Beijing.
