Bert Hodgkinson (footballer, born 1903)
Bert Hodgkinson (born November 26, 1903, date of death unknown) was an English footballer who played as a forward.
Hodgkinson began his professional career with Stockport County, making his debut in the Football League Third Division North during the 1924-25 season. He went on to make a significant number of appearances for the club, becoming a regular in the forward line. His goal-scoring record was modest but consistent.
After leaving Stockport County, Hodgkinson played for several other clubs, including Rochdale, also in the Football League Third Division North. While records of his time with these clubs may be incomplete, available evidence suggests he continued to contribute as a professional footballer for several seasons. Details of his career beyond the Football League are currently limited.
Hodgkinson's career spanned a period when football was growing in popularity, though detailed records of individual players, especially at the lower league levels, were not always meticulously maintained. He is remembered as a capable forward who contributed to his teams during his time in the Football League.
