Modern Brighouse is a commercial and residential center. It retains a number of its Victorian buildings and is a popular destination for shopping and dining. The town hosts several events throughout the year, including a Victorian Christmas Market and an Arts Festival. It is served by Brighouse railway station, providing links to surrounding areas and major cities.
