Jack Curtis (actor)

Jack Curtis (born May 28, 1926, New York City, New York – died March 15, 1970, Hollywood, California) was an American character actor primarily known for his roles in film and television westerns.

Curtis began his acting career in the early 1950s, frequently appearing in uncredited roles. He quickly gained recognition for his distinctive features and ability to portray gritty, often villainous characters. His career spanned two decades and included appearances in numerous popular television series such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman, Rawhide, and The Twilight Zone.

While Curtis found considerable success in television, he also appeared in a variety of films. His film credits include roles in Young Guns of Texas (1962) and The Night of the Grizzly (1966). He was often cast in supporting roles, contributing to the authenticity and realism of the productions.

Curtis was married to actress Joan Bradshaw. He died at the age of 43.
