Jim Roberts (cricketer)

James "Jim" Roberts (born 26 January 1957) is a former English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-pace bowler who played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire between 1976 and 1984.

Roberts made his first-class debut against Cambridge University in 1976. He played regularly for Gloucestershire over the next several seasons, both in first-class and List A cricket. While not a prolific batsman, he proved a useful lower-order contributor and a reliable bowler. His best first-class season was arguably 1979, when he scored 340 runs and took 18 wickets.

He retired from first-class cricket at the end of the 1984 season. After his playing career, he remained involved in cricket at the club level.
