John Collins (Canadian politician)

John Collins (born c. 1945) is a Canadian politician from Prince Edward Island. He served as a Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the district of Belfast-Murray River from 2007 to 2019.

Collins was first elected in the 2007 provincial election and re-elected in the 2011 and 2015 elections. During his time in the legislature, he served on various committees, including the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Fisheries, the Standing Committee on Education and Economic Development, and the Standing Committee on Public Accounts.

Prior to entering provincial politics, Collins was a farmer and businessman. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from McGill University.

He did not seek re-election in the 2019 provincial election.
