Myjava (river)

The Myjava is a river in western Slovakia. It is a left tributary of the Morava River. The river's source is located in the White Carpathians mountain range, near the village of Nová Lhota. The Myjava flows generally southwards through the districts of Myjava and Senica. It joins the Morava River near the town of Kúty.

The river's length is approximately 79 kilometers (49 miles). The drainage basin covers an area of about 806 square kilometers (311 square miles).

The Myjava river valley is an important agricultural region. It has also been historically significant for its role in milling and other water-powered industries. The town of Myjava, named after the river, is a regional center for the surrounding area.
