Bratan (volcano)
Bratan is a caldera volcano located in Bali, Indonesia. The caldera contains three lakes: Bratan, Buyan, and Tamblingan. Mount Bratan itself is not a single, prominent peak, but rather part of the larger volcanic complex. The area is significant for agriculture and tourism, with the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple, a prominent Balinese Hindu temple, located on the shores of Lake Bratan. The fertile volcanic soil supports rice cultivation and other crops in the surrounding region. Volcanic activity in the area is relatively low, but geothermal activity is present. The lakes are believed to have formed from past volcanic eruptions and subsequent collapse of the volcano's summit. The climate is cooler than the coastal regions of Bali due to its high elevation.
