Boss (crater)
Boss is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southwest of the larger crater Bhabha, and northeast of the crater Innes. To the southwest of Boss is the smaller crater Alder.
This crater is somewhat eroded, with a rounded outer rim that has been softened by subsequent impacts. A few small craters lie across the rim edge and the inner walls. The interior floor is relatively level, and is marked only by a few tiny craterlets.
The crater is named after Lewis Boss, an American astronomer.
