1998 European Cup (athletics)

The 1998 European Cup in Athletics comprised two separate events, one for men and one for women, held in differing locations. These events were team competitions featuring the top athletics nations in Europe. Teams scored points based on the finishing positions of their athletes in individual events, and the team with the highest overall score was declared the winner.

The men's competition was held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on June 27–28, 1998. The top eight nations competed in a range of track and field events.

The women's competition took place in Malmö, Sweden, also on June 27–28, 1998, with the same format as the men's event.
