Ludkowo

Ludkowo is a village in Poland, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Gniezno County, in the municipality of Kiszkowo.

The village is situated approximately 6 kilometers (4 miles) south of Kiszkowo, 23 kilometers (14 miles) west of Gniezno, and 34 kilometers (21 miles) northeast of Poznań.

Historically, Ludkowo is significant due to its association with the legend of the founding of the Polish state and the baptism of Poland. According to tradition, it was near Ludkowo that Saint Adalbert, a missionary, conducted baptisms in the late 10th century, contributing to the Christianization of the Polish nation. This makes it a place of historical and religious importance within Poland.
