Bob Scott (Australian footballer)

Bob Scott (born 14 December 1949) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

Scott, recruited from Preston Rovers, was a rover/half-forward. He debuted for Essendon in 1968 and played 225 VFL games for the club, kicking 171 goals. He won Essendon's best and fairest award in 1977 and captained the club from 1981 to 1982.

After his VFL career ended, Scott coached Preston in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1983 to 1986. He subsequently held administrative roles with Essendon, including serving on the club's board.
