Asylum (1996 TV series)
Asylum was a 1996 British television horror anthology series created by Clive Barker. It aired on ITV in the United Kingdom. Each episode presented a self-contained story, with Barker introducing the episode and providing thematic links. The series aimed for a gothic horror atmosphere, often exploring themes of madness, the supernatural, and the darker aspects of human nature. While intended as a showcase for Barker's vision of horror storytelling, it only ran for six episodes before being cancelled. It starred a rotating cast of actors in the individual episodes. Its stories ranged from psychological thrillers to outright supernatural horror, drawing inspiration from classic horror literature and Barker's own unique style.
