Erlanger (crater)
Erlanger is a lunar impact crater located in the southern lunar highlands. It is situated to the south-southwest of the prominent crater Janssen, and to the west-southwest of the smaller crater Goclenius. The crater is relatively small and shows little in the way of significant wear or degradation. The rim is well-defined and circular, and the interior floor is relatively level. There are no notable features within the crater itself. It's named after the German physicist, Carl Erlanger. Its Selenographic coordinates are approximately [[33.8° S, 16.6° W]]. Further detailed analysis is required to ascertain precise morphometric characteristics and geological context within the surrounding lunar terrain.
