Paul Donnelly (politician)
Paul Donnelly is an Irish Sinn Féin politician who has served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin West constituency since the 2014 Dublin West by-election.
Donnelly was elected to Fingal County Council in 2009, representing the Castleknock local electoral area. He was subsequently elected to Dáil Éireann in the 2014 by-election, which was triggered by the resignation of Patrick Nulty. He has been re-elected in each subsequent general election (2016, 2020).
In Dáil Éireann, Donnelly has been a vocal advocate for issues such as affordable housing, improved public transport, and increased investment in education. He has served on various Oireachtas committees, including the Committee on Housing, Planning and Local Government, and the Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport. He is a member of the Sinn Féin front bench.
Donnelly is a graduate of Dublin City University. Before entering politics, he worked in the IT sector. He resides in Dublin West.
