Hu Yifeng

Hu Yifeng (胡毅峰, born May 1954) is a former Chinese politician who served as the President of the Higher People's Court of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from January 2008 to January 2023.

Hu Yifeng was born in Kezuohou Banner, Inner Mongolia. He graduated from the Inner Mongolia Agricultural University. He joined the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 1976.

Hu Yifeng's career primarily revolved around judicial roles within Inner Mongolia. Before becoming the President of the Higher People's Court, he held positions in local courts and legal departments within the region.

In January 2023, Hu Yifeng was dismissed from his position as President of the Higher People's Court of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Subsequently, he became the subject of an investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the CCP's internal disciplinary body, for suspected "serious violations of discipline and law." This phrase is often used as a euphemism for corruption.

In April 2023, he was expelled from the Communist Party for various offenses, including abuse of power, engaging in trading power for money, and violating regulations concerning the organization of meetings. He was also accused of interfering with judicial activities and accepting bribes. His case was then transferred to judicial authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
