Chōfu Station (調布駅, Chōfu-eki) is a railway station in Chōfu, Tokyo, Japan, operated by the private railway operator Keio Corporation. It is the main station serving the city of Chōfu.

Lines

Chōfu Station is served by the Keio Line and the Keio Sagamihara Line. The Keio Sagamihara Line branches off from the Keio Line at this station.

Station Layout

The station has four island platforms serving eight tracks. Elevated platforms were completed in 2012, eliminating previous at-grade crossings and improving traffic flow.

History

Chōfu Station opened on April 15, 1913. It was originally at ground level. The elevated station project, designed to improve local traffic conditions, began in 2004 and was completed in August 2012. The station has undergone several renovations and improvements over the years to accommodate increasing passenger traffic and modernize its facilities.
