Avenging Angel (2007 film)
Avenging Angel is a 2007 made-for-television Western film directed by David S. Cass Sr. and starring Kevin Sorbo. It is a sequel to the 1994 film Avenging Angel, though it features a completely different cast and storyline.
The film centers on Joseph Smith (Sorbo), a Mormon frontiersman, who is tasked with investigating a series of murders in a small town. As Smith delves deeper into the mystery, he uncovers a web of corruption and deceit. He must then choose between his faith and dispensing justice to the guilty.
Unlike the original film, which presented a more ambiguous and complex moral landscape, the 2007 version offers a more straightforward and action-oriented narrative. It focuses on themes of good versus evil, faith, and redemption. The film was produced by Larry Levinson Productions and aired on the Hallmark Channel.
