Anton Fredrik Klaveness (1903–1981)

Anton Fredrik Klaveness (born 8 November 1903, Sandefjord, died 5 January 1981) was a Norwegian shipowner and equestrian. He was the son of Anton Fredrik Klaveness Sr. and Therese Grøn.

Klaveness joined the family shipping company, A.F. Klaveness & Co, and became a partner in 1933. He held key leadership positions within the company throughout his career, contributing to its growth and development.

Beyond his contributions to the maritime industry, Klaveness was also a prominent figure in equestrian sports in Norway. He represented Norway in the individual dressage event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. His involvement in equestrian sports extended to administrative roles, contributing to the development and promotion of the sport in Norway.

Klaveness was married to Lucy Emilie Smith, with whom he had children. He was also decorated as a Knight, First Class of the Order of St. Olav.
