Roku (comics)

Roku is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Valiant Comics. She is a highly skilled assassin and martial artist, known for her distinctive five-strand hair.

Publication History

Roku first appeared in Valiant Masters: Harbinger #4 in 1993 and was created by Jim Shooter and David Lapham. She has subsequently appeared in numerous Valiant titles, including Harbinger, Bloodshot, Ninjak, X-O Manowar, and her own limited series.

Fictional Character Biography

Born as Dr. Silk's genetically engineered weapon, Roku possesses exceptional fighting abilities and a mysterious connection to her hair, which she can manipulate to deadly effect. Her true name is unknown; "Roku" is a codename bestowed upon her. Initially working as an antagonist, primarily against the Harbinger Foundation and Peter Stanchek, she has demonstrated moments of vulnerability and conflicting loyalties. Her past is shrouded in mystery, and her motivations are often unclear. She has been both a villain and, on occasion, an uneasy ally to various Valiant heroes.

Powers and Abilities
