Evermore (band)

Evermore were a New Zealand rock band formed in Feilding in 1999. The band consisted of brothers Jon Hume (vocals, guitar), Peter Hume (keyboards, bass), and Dann Hume (drums, vocals). Their musical style incorporated elements of alternative rock, progressive rock, and electronica.

Evermore gained significant recognition and success in both New Zealand and Australia, achieving mainstream popularity with their debut album, Dreams, released in 2004. This album spawned successful singles such as "It's Too Late" and "For You," which achieved significant radio airplay and chart success.

The band released several subsequent albums, including Real Life (2006), Truth of the World: Welcome to the Show (2009), and Follow the Sun (2012). While they continued to tour and release music, they did not replicate the initial commercial success of their debut.

Evermore were known for their dynamic live performances and their use of electronic instruments and effects to create a distinctive sound. They garnered several awards, including APRA Awards and New Zealand Music Awards.

The band went on indefinite hiatus in 2014, with the members pursuing individual musical projects and collaborations. Jon Hume has focused on songwriting and production for other artists, while Dann Hume has also established himself as a successful producer. Peter Hume has remained involved in music as well.
