Sprotborough (SYR) railway station

Sprotborough (SYR) railway station was a railway station serving the village of Sprotborough, South Yorkshire, England. It was located on the Dearne and Dove Canal Line between Doncaster and Barnsley.

The station opened in 1866 and closed to passengers in 1951. Goods traffic continued until 1961. The station code was SYR.

The station building has since been demolished, and little trace remains of the former station site. The line through the former station site remains open for freight traffic.
