Aberdeen City (band)

Aberdeen City was an American indie pop band formed in Los Angeles, California in the early 2000s. The band was known for its catchy melodies, shimmering guitars, and often melancholic lyrics.

The core members consisted of Ryan Jarzabkowski (vocals, guitar), Jeff Schroeder (guitar), and Kerry Brown (drums). Various bassists contributed to the band throughout its existence.

Aberdeen City released several EPs and two full-length albums: "The Freezing Atlantic" (2004) and "While Looking at the Sky" (2007). Their music was generally well-received by critics, often being compared to bands like The Smiths and The Cure.

The band toured extensively in the United States, playing shows with bands such as The National and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. They gained a devoted following within the indie pop scene.

Despite positive reviews and a loyal fanbase, Aberdeen City eventually disbanded in the late 2000s. Members went on to pursue other musical projects. Jeff Schroeder joined The Smashing Pumpkins in 2007 and has been a member ever since.
