Amias Paulet (died 1538)
Amias Paulet (died 1538) was an English official and member of Parliament. He was the son of Sir William Paulet of Hinton St. George, Somerset, and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Denham. He was thus the uncle of William Paulet, 1st Marquess of Winchester.
Paulet served as a Justice of the Peace for Somerset from 1528 until his death. He was also appointed High Sheriff of Somerset in 1534. He was a Member of Parliament for Taunton in 1529.
Little detailed information is readily available regarding his specific actions or contributions during his time in these roles. His significance primarily lies in his familial connections to prominent figures of the Tudor period. He married Margaret, daughter of Sir Hugh Paulet of Hinton St. George. The details of his children, if any, are not readily accessible.
He died in 1538.
