Aindrias Ó Caoimh (attorney general)
Aindrias Ó Caoimh is an Irish barrister and served as the Attorney General of Ireland from 2002 to 2007. He was appointed by the Fianna Fáil/Progressive Democrats coalition government led by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
As Attorney General, Ó Caoimh was the chief legal advisor to the Irish government. His responsibilities included advising on legal matters, representing the state in legal proceedings, and drafting legislation.
Before becoming Attorney General, Ó Caoimh was a Senior Counsel and practiced law in Dublin. Following his tenure as Attorney General, he returned to the bar. He has been involved in a number of high-profile legal cases and has also served on various legal committees.
